The King Reigns Again!

s the suspense killing you? It’s been a long wait, very long wait since Tom Ford first announced the debut of his women’s collection. January 2011, a month so far from September 12th, 2010 seemed impossible to wait for, yet we tried practicing patience as the select group watched Beyonce blow the VMA’s to model for Tom Ford. Not only was it interesting, but the line of models that followed (Julianne Moore, Marisa Berensen, Lauren Hutton, and Daphne Guiness) added flare to the runway.

Taking place at a secret location, only one Photographer was permitted. Security was high, and although his guests presumed they were attending a lavish dinner, Tom Surprised them all with a 50’s styled fashion show.

His guests’ excitement flooded the pages of twitter. Joe Zee, Elle magazine’s fashion Editor, was one of the many tweeters:

Ultra glam at Tom Ford. Presented like an old couture show, Tom narrated his parade of chic, sexy clothes on “women that inspired him”.

Tom Ford gorgeousness: silk fringe gown, crisp tuxedos in blk and white, leopard pantsuits, corsets under peekaboo gowns and lace kneeboots.

Sat with Solange Knowles and we cheered Beyonce working her silver sequin lace dress. Solange said she wants the afro Joan Smalls modelled!

Thanks goodness for people like Joe Zee! We’d be lost without them. Yes, it was hard not being part of the action, yet we quickly forgave Tom when we watched the fashion show unfold on the glossy pages of Harper’s Bazaar, and when that wasn’t enough Vogue came to the rescue with pictures never before seen.

Now only two days away, it’s the start of a new fashion era, the public will finally gain access to Tom Ford’s women collection. We share with you a few pictures of the beauty Tom Ford has bestowed upon us, curtsey of Vogue. Enjoy!
