New York Fashion Week Review | iMisc

It’s Fashion Week, people! So long Bryant Park, and hello Lincoln Center. Fashion Week kicked off this week in its new location, and there was so much to see. Let’s get right to it, and discuss some of the highlights…

Nicholas K, the brainchild of NYC-based siblings Nicholas and Christopher Kunz stayed true to their androgynous, downtown aesthetic with their newest collection. Cropped skinnies and harem pants paired with plenty of hooded layers in intentionally drab colors ruled the runway for both the female and male models. For the women, there was the occasional soft touch (the white silk dress), but clunky combat boots decidedly balanced out any prettiness. The collection is very chill and urban, and while most looks succeeded, there was the occasional model whose eccentric layers made her look like a homeless person.
