AN auction of Italian fashion house Gianfranco Ferré was launched this week as potential buyers are called to show interest. Ferré filed for bankruptcy back in February 2009 and yesterday Italian manufacturing company IT Holding SpA published a list of sale regulations for potential bidders.

Any bidding offers must include plans to preserve the label and an ability to develop the brand financially. All offers should be submitted to the administrators of IT Holding SpA by July 6 with the aim of securing a sale before August. The sale also includes a property which houses one of Ferré’s stores in Porto Cervo, Sardinia.

According to the WWD, the label has already attracted interest from three potential buyers – the textile division of South Korean conglomerate Samsung Group, Italian private-equity firm Palladio Finanziaria, New York-based merchant banking firm Prodos Capital Management and finally hedge fund firm Amber Capital Investment Management.

  1. Have your cake and eat it kind of a dillema. What should today’s grooms do? Have a expensive reception or save for a house? I would take the second without a doubt
